Our brand was born inside a lively LatinX household led by a strong woman, a single mother of three who speaks fluent Spanish and spends most of her day switching between languages.

If you’ve ever lived in a bilingual home, you know exactly what happens next…

Spanglish.

​

Between teenagers, friends constantly coming and going, and two cultures living under one roof, conversations often become a mix of English and Spanish without anyone even realizing it.

​

One day, while working on accessories, our founder casually asked her teenage son where his friends were.

​

He responded: “Which ones?”

​

She meant his best friend and his girlfriend at the time, and instead of saying “las nenas” or “the girls,” she accidentally blended the two languages and said:

“Las girls.”

In that moment, something clicked.

​

It was real.
It was authentic.
And it was her everyday life.

Las Girls & Co is more than a name... it's a celebration of culture, language, family, and the powerful community of girls who inspire us every day. The name is also a tribute to her children and their friends who fill their home with energy, laughter, and creativity.
